K & G has a variety of classes available to boys and girls from infant to adult.
Young Explorers (up to 2 years)
The young explorer times are designed for parents that want to expose their young toddlers to the world of gymnastics. It is geared towards crawlers, beginning walkers, and toddlers still needing a little more freedom to explore. This 30 minute time period will give you and your child an opportunity to roll, bounce, swing, slide, go upside down and just play! A coach will supervise and provide ideas during class but most of all you have the freedom to play with your child in the gym.
Lil’ Tumblers (18 months – 5 years)
The Lil’ Tumbler classes focus on using gymnastics skills as tools to instill important learning attitudes such as independence, taking turns, following directions and creating confidence. We focus on gross motor skill development (coordination, strength, spatial awareness and body control) and see gymnastics skill mastery as a secondary goal. Our Lil’ tumblers classes are separated into 3 age groups which provide the right learning environment for each stage of a child’s development.
18 mths- 2 yrs- This 45 minute class requires parent participation along with their child.
3’s & 4’s – This 45 minute class is for independent learning. Parents are asked to watch from our viewing areas during class.
5 year olds – This 1 hour long class includes more exposure to the full size gymnastics equipment and is a good transition to our Gym Crew classes.
Gym Crew (school aged boys and girls)
The Gym Crew classes provide sound gymnastics training for all kids who want to learn how they can become the best they can be in life. Experts say gymnastics greatest physical benefits include: amazing power, poise, balance, grace and injury-preventing agility. Gymnastics also has mental benefits such as confidence, perseverance, concentration and attention to detail. The Gym Crew curriculum is designed to provide a non-competitive, achievement-oriented program of life skills, conditioning, coordination and flexibility. We use school grade as a primary variable to determining your child’s class time. We then subdivide each class into logical, homogeneous training groups. Classes are available as co-ed or separate boys classes and will incorporate instruction on all gymnastics equipment.
Gym Crew K-1st Grade- This 1 hour class is for boys and girls entering Kindergarten and through the completion of 1st grade. Students will work on skill development on vault, uneven bars, balance beam, floor and trampoline.
Gym Crew 2nd-3rd Grade- This 1 hour 15 minute class is for boys and girls entering 2nd grade and through the completion of 3rd grade. Students will work on skill development on vault, uneven bars, balance beam, floor and trampoline.
Gym Crew 4th- 6th Grade- This 1 hour 30 minute class is for boys and girls entering 4th grade and through the completion of 6th grade. Students will work on skill development on vault, uneven bars, balance beam, floor and trampoline.
Boys Gym Crew K-2nd Grade - This 1 hour class is for boys entering kindergarten and through the completion of 2nd grade. Students will work on skill development on vault, single bar, pommel horse, parallel bars, floor, rings and trampoline.
Boys Gym Crew 3rd-8th - This 1 hour 30 minute class is for boys entering 3rd grade and through the completion of 8th grade. Students will work on skill development on vault, single bar, pommel horse, parallel bars, floor, rings and trampoline.
Juniors (Grade 5th-8th)
This 1 hour co-ed class is for older gymnasts, of all levels, interested in improving physical fitness through non-competitive gymnastics.
Jr./Sr. High School
This 2 hour class is for junior high and high school gymnasts in their off season.
This class is for school aged children who would like to focus primarily on tumbling and trampoline skills. This is an 1 hour long class for students of all levels.
This class is for school aged children who are home schooled. This is an 1 hour long class for students of all levels.
This class is for adults who want to improve strength, flexibility and physical fitness through the sport of gymnastics. This class includes basic tumbling and trampoline skills as well as cross fit strength and conditioning using other gymnastics equipment.
